Midfield: the fastest are mostly wide midfielders, so check alternate positions before you buy a central player. Centre-backs: Alvas Powell 92, Andriano Lebib 91 and Micky van de Ven 90 (van de Ven also brings height and defensive quality). THE FASTEST BY LEAGUE La Liga: Kylian Mbappe, 96 PAC Bundesliga: Oliver Burke, 95 PAC (suits starter squads) Premier League: Jeremie Frimpong, 94 PAC (the standout fast defender) Ligue 1: Nuno Mendes, 94 PAC (strong overall attributes) Serie A: the speed is more spread out, so compare pace with defending and alternate positions. BUDGET SPEEDSTERS (LOW OVERALL, HUGE PACE) Sirlord Conteh: 69 OVR, 95 PAC Oliver Burke: 73 OVR, 95 PAC Gabriel Silva: 74 OVR, 95 PAC, 74 DRI Jean-Matteo Bahoya: 76 OVR, 94 PAC BEST FOR ULTIMATE TEAM Mbappe is the complete package (91 SHO, 92 DRI). Adeyemi (82 OVR, 95 PAC) is a more attainable fast winger. Frimpong and Nuno Mendes give you elite speed from defence. Openda is a natural striker with 94 PAC. Chawinga combines 94 PAC with 83 SHO and 86 DRI. IMPORTANT: the pace and overall figures come from EA's FC 27 launch ratings database (Gold, Silver and Bronze items only, no Heroes or ICONs) and can change after updates. Prices are not shown because they are unknown and move once Ultimate Team is live, so always check the market before you buy. Some of these are women's player cards (Chawinga, Kouassi and Kundananji). Some on-screen graphics are illustrative and their figures may differ from the database. PAC (pace) comes from acceleration and sprint speed, so two players with the same number can feel different. Dribbling, agility, strength, height, PlayStyles, position and attacking movement all matter too: pick speed that fits your role, and check the whole card before you buy.
