FC 27 Best SBCs: Which Are Worth Completing? Item Score Explained & When to Buy Fodder
FC 27 Best SBCs: Which Are Worth Completing? Item Score Explained & When to Buy Fodder Doing every Squad Building Challenge is a fast way to empty your club. This video goes through the Player SBCs one guide rates best right now (budget, mid range and top end), the repeatable upgrade SBCs, the beginner SBCs, how FC 27's Item Score works, how to work out your own cost, and when buying fodder actually makes sense. The card of each player is on screen as the name is said. Important: the Item Score numbers are one guide's snapshot of 9 October 2026 and the coin figures are that guide's market estimates, not EA data. Prices move every day, so check the live market before you buy anything. This is not financial advice, and Item Score is not coins. THE PLAYER SBCs (Item Score asked / about coins, per one guide on 9 Oct) - Pascal Gross (Premier League POTM, CDM, 84): 18,750 Item Score - about 19-21K coins. PAS 88, DRI 83, PAC 76, 3-star skills, 4-star weak foot: suits possession and build-up play. The budget pick, especially with untradeable fodder - Maghnes Akliouche (Destined for Glory, CAM, 85): 68,000 Item Score - about 74-81K coins. DRI 89, PAS 86, 4-star skills, 3-star weak foot - Donyell Malen (Serie A POTM, ST, 85): 90,000 Item Score - about 100-109K coins. PAC 87, DRI 86, 4-star skills and weak foot. Good, but not automatic: compare him with tradeable attackers first - Michael Olise (Bundesliga POTM, 91): 700,000 Item Score - around 768K coins. DRI 92, PAS 90, 5-star skills - Raphinha (LALIGA POTM, ST, 89): 1,300,000 Item Score - over 1.4M coins - Olise and Raphinha are excellent cards and luxury purchases: only complete them if they are genuine long-term starters HOW ITEM SCORE WORKS - A Player SBC asks for a total Item Score - Each card you submit adds a score based on its overall, rarity, campaign status and holographic status - 90,000 Item Score does not cost 90,000 coins: the real cost depends on current fodder prices and what you already own - You can progress over several submissions, and you don't always have to submit a full eleven THE UPGRADE SBCs - 83+ Upgrade: 2,500 Item Score (about 2.7K coins) for one untradeable 83+, refreshing every two days - 79+ Triple Upgrade: seven golds, at least two rare, for three rare golds rated 79+, repeatable - 2x 79+: ten golds - Gold Re-Roll: 1,250 Item Score for two 78+ golds - These are for recycling duplicates, not guaranteed profit BEGINNER SBCs - Intro to Player SBCs: 4,000 Item Score (about 4-5K coins) with a guaranteed Squad Foundations Cristian Espinoza reward - Intro to Streamlined SBCs: teaches the Item Score system, including multi-submit - Bronze and Silver Re-Roll: 500 Item Score for a 75+ gold, handy for spare bronzes and silvers. Don't buy cards just to force it HOW TO JUDGE ANY SBC - Keep Item Score and coin cost separate, then work out your own cost - Example: if the market solution is 100,000 and you hold 70,000 of untradeable fodder, you only need 30,000 - though that fodder still has an opportunity cost - Compare the reward with a tradeable card you could sell later - Check PlayStyles, roles, chemistry and the expiry date - Be careful with holographic items, which can carry gallery value, and don't over-submit WHEN TO BUY FODDER (and when not to) - Avoid: expensive SBCs that aren't clear upgrades, small packs you'd build with purchased fodder, upgrade packs judged by the best possible reward, and anything that drains your whole club before a new promo - Buy fodder only if the reward clearly improves your squad, the cost compares well with tradeable cards, prices are low and you only need a little - If the SBC lasts weeks, wait: Rivals, Champions, Squad Battles, objectives and duplicates will generate fodder, and big releases can spike fodder prices - Always use your untradeables first 00:00 FC 27 Best SBCs: What Is Worth Completing 00:19 Item Score Is Not Coins 00:46 Budget Pick: Pascal Gross 01:10 Mid Range: Akliouche and Malen 01:46 Top End: Olise and Raphinha 02:15 The Upgrade SBCs 02:50 Beginner SBCs: Where to Start 03:18 How to Judge Any SBC 03:46 What to Avoid and When to Buy Fodder 04:20 Don't Confuse Item Score With Coins Want to catch deals faster?
