This video goes through the settings, the tactic code, the role of every player, how to play it, what to change when you are chasing a goal or protecting a lead, and the weak spots with their fixes. SETTINGS - Formation: 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow - Build-up style: Counter - Defensive approach: Balanced - Tactic code: 3wQHo7P@B1j# - Fullbacks only provide width after you have secured the ball THE 11 ROLES (position - role - focus) - Lavelle: ST - False 9 - Attack (drops between the centre-backs, drags defenders out of position, first outlet on a counter) - Mbappe: ST - Advanced Forward - Attack (primary finisher, runs in behind once Lavelle pulls a defender away) - Zico: CAM - Shadow Striker - Attack (late runs into the box, your next option if the pass to Mbappe isn't on) - Karchaoui: CM - Box-to-Box - Balanced (covers the half-spaces, surges forward on counters) - Valverde: CM - Box-to-Box - Balanced (same job on the other side; high stamina is a must, they are your only wide cover) - Matuidi: CDM - Holding - Defend (the safety net that blocks through balls and shields the centre-backs) - Hernandez: LB - Fullback - Balanced (never Attacking, width after you win the ball) - Valencia: RB - Fullback - Balanced (never Attacking, width after you win the ball) - Carreras: CB - Defender - Defend (does not step out of the line unless absolutely necessary) - Lacroix: CB - Defender - Defend (same) - Garcia: GK - Goalkeeper - Defend (stays on his line instead of sweeping) HOW TO PLAY IT - Don't force possession: let your opponent push players forward, then win the ball and hit vertical passes immediately - Use Lavelle to pull defenders: once one follows her, Mbappe has space to sprint into, the most repeatable pattern in this setup - Skip wide crosses (you have no wingers): stick to central through balls, cutbacks inside the box and quick combinations - A pure playmaker who won't track back will get you destroyed on the flanks CHASING A GOAL / PROTECTING A LEAD - Chasing a goal: flip both fullbacks from Balanced to Attacking Fullback.
